taboo topics

Hello,

does anybody know where I could find academic articles about taboo topics within relationships - topics that couples mosty do not talk about.

If this is too specific, where I could find more general articles on the topic of family/relationshipy/couples therapy/psychotherapy.

Thank you

Re: taboo topics

No need to get snippy.

Start with the university library. Specialized articles and mags can be found by titles, authors, subjects, etc...

Another good resource are counselors who specialize in things like this. Since I have no idea what taboo subject you are referring to, I can't really say which ones to contact. But there are specialist for almost every medical, psychological and taboo out there. They would be able to best give references to books and articles you are seeking.

Re: taboo topics

Lidija, if you don't know how to locate scholarly articles about your subject, the best place to start is with your local university's reference/help desk. Professional librarians are the absolute best in researching subjects. The articles should already be on location or will be accessible with your library card. Most online journals charge a fee to read the whole document.
