"Odd" things on menus

I have seen SPAM & poi pies on McDonald's menues only in the Hawaiian islands.

Anyone else have things they can add?

(I live in the Mid-west so I don't think there are too many "odd" regional foods here - though DM did used to eat frog legs)

Re: "Odd" things on menus

I can't recall seeing anything strange on a menu before. And even though I live in the state where spam was born, you never see it on the menu's here.

Ha! Those used to be put on a deli tray from some place my office ordered from. One man really liked them. YUCK!

Re: "Odd" things on menus

LOL - when I was growing up we had a family we were friends with who had quail and they often made pickled quail eggs. I liked them. A couple of summers ago I saw some in a store locally and bought them for my kids to try. They noped on that.

Like quail are different from chickens?
