How healthy do you eat?
After watching Oprah, and Dr. Oz, my eyes have been really opened about food and what we already knew all our lives but refused to believe. I have vowed to start eating EVERTHING and to quit dieting. I'd like to know what is in your fridge?
Virginia

I now try to limit the carbs, but focus on the good foods. Even with my kids and the lunch boxes. Sandwich, fruit, vegetable, cheese or yogurt, cookie. I don't have a weight problem, neither do my kids, but I believe a variety is the best defense against problems. We usually eat decent breakfast things, like healthy cereals. We eat good dinners every night. We mess up by occasionally buying frozen products for dinner. No soda in my house, which is a plus. We do eat ice cream. |

Dr. Oz does scare me, but not enough to give up the Coke.

Oh Beth! You are funny! I don't think I could list my fridge contents! But if I did it would go like this:
Ice cream, Ice cream, Ice cream, Ice cream.... JK Seriously, I do the fat free stuff, milk, cottage cheese, yogurt (plain & flavored), light Best Foods mayo, eggs, sour cream, 2% cheeses, light whipping cream for lattes. Country Crock Margarine. Cozy Shack 90 cal rice pudding & Jell-O 90 cal pudding Lean meats, chicken and turkey for sandwiches Whole Wheat breads and bagels Grapes, strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, bananas, peaches, mango and kiwi. Salad fixings: lettuce, green onions, tomatoes, cucumbers. Onions, garlic, bell pepper(s) Pickles, relish, mustard(s), Salad Dressings (low fat, non-fat, and sprays). Whew!...... Now in the freezer, meats, fruit for smoothies, veggies and ICE CREAM.... the 100 cal a piece kind. (see I'm NOT that BAD). I just went grocery shopping can you tell? Today I added nuts and I am going to make some bran muffins for my hubby. I am going to try and add more fish to our diet. My husband is not good with breakfast so I also bought some of that Kashi (sp) cereal today and some breakfast bars for him. We are really trying hard to eat better (smarter). Virginia

Re: How healthy do you eat?
Oh my gosh! Coke. For some wonderful reason God saved me from sodas. I have never had a liking for them, not even sugar free...... now Ice Cream is a different story.......hehehe

Re: How healthy do you eat?
I do not eat prepared foods at all and only on the rare occasion a McD's fish sandwich. I have always had migraines and started this years ago. Eating whole foods is a lifestyle for me.
Fruits and veggies meat, chicken, fish pastas grain cereal and oatmeal |
