My Grandog is havin a day!
She is 16 years old. Sixteen years ago, I took my dd to the store where she purchased her. ***Drained her savings on this adorable ball of fluff.
Being a good "glamma" I trained pup while owner was at school/work/etc. So, she is back with me now struggling to keep ahead of her Mast Cell tumors! Bad stuff this is. First one was surgically removed but no radiation and another grew back with a vengeance. She is on a few meds and her back leg began to go lame whilst she was recovering with her mom at her loft *no carpeting. My granddog is here and I have carpet! Yes. She no longer drags her paw on her knuckles. Good. She has energy. Appetite and all is well. Took her to her vet yesterday, for checkup after radiation of tumor and she has a bit of anemia. So I am now working on that. She is fighting with everything she has. Such a little trooper. Seems like yesterday we were coming home with her...

They really do become part of your family. I hope she continues to improve, and I hope your carpets survive, too!

Re: My Grandog is havin a day!
She is such a little sweetie. Thank you Lucy.
She does relax quite a bit - but then so does MY 12 y o pup and he hasnt been thru what she has. Last night she was her ole self again. I can hear her in the kitchen attacking the plastic grocery bags I threw on the floor while putting food away. Then I look at her and she's licking something and shaking her head. I went to take a closer look for I had no idea what she found in the bags: SPIDER! eek It was hanging from a web from her mouth. It fell, I scooped it up and put it in the closet. Kind of moving. Felt bad for it. How did she know there was a spider she could get to in the kitchen by the bags? Smell? Sound? odd
