Re: Knitting
It is when you have enough yarn to make over a dozen blankets

Re: Knitting
I quit knitting a while back - made a major mistake and needed to take an entire row out
![]() Well - my area in now on a 30 day "hibernate" order (not total lock down) So...I carefully ripped out the row, and will hopefully finish the baby blanket.

Re: Knitting
I've gotten another 6" done on the blanket. Should be able to get it finished in a week.
I've already got 2 more baby blankets planned/on "order" for family members, thing is I've had to order yarn as hobby/craft stores in my area are closed/non-essential.

Re: Knitting
Finished the blanket today & started on the next one (for great-nephew).
I have one planned for great-niece (I'm not even a grandmother yet). After I get those two done I plan to get a couple more done so that I'm ahead for a change.

Re: Knitting
DD asked me to crochet her a mask to wear for the pandemic. I was like "Uh, that won't block..." but then googled patterns. I made her a mask with yarn I had bought for baby hats (for charity) that is soft and washable and lined it with a pouch I made out of an old (ripped) 650 thread count sheet. She can put a paper towel or a coffee filter in the pouch. LOL. She tried it on and said "I can't breathe! Perfect!" ROFL

Re: Knitting
kaykay, what patterns can you do?
I've just recently learned to do the basket weave - so that doubled my repertoire. (I can do stockinette) I was wondering what might be a next good pattern to learn - any suggestions? I was thinking about bamboo or star.

Re: Knitting
Saw a cool pattern called snake skin. I didn't want to spend about $15 on the pattern booklet just for one pattern.

Re: Knitting
I knit C2C (corner to corner) much faster than regular blankets - but the pattern is 90% knit stich
over X-mas break I want to try a basket weave blanket again
