Biggest Loser

I weighed & measured myself last night I'll have to write it down

My goal is a 9% decrease in weight

an 8% decrease in inches from my waist (I'm dreaming, I know )- but if I'm trying to decrease, at least - I hope- my waist won't increase

Anyone who wants to join in - feel free - I'll check in every Friday

(if you don't remember how to figure percents divide your goal weight by your current weight - for example if you weigh 195 and your goal is 165 the math would be 165/195=0.846 or 8.5% of your weight)

That would be 85% of your current weight. Or a weight loss of 15%

They suggest trying to loose about 5% per year don't they?

Wishing you all the best.

Re: Biggest Loser

I'm down 1% in weight; waist - umm - no measurable change

(that 1% will probally be the easiest - humm... if I cut the cokes again, I could probally lose another 2-3% in a month)

Re: Biggest Loser

I weighed Thurs & reweighed today - I'm down a total of 2% from my orginal weight (I'm not checking my waist until I hit a 4%-5% loss from my orginal weight - too discouraging)

- I also walked 2 miles today (my glutes hurt); I'm going to try to walk 2 miles two times a day - until I'm in better shape, then I'll up it

Re: Biggest Loser

still at down 2% - at least it didn't go back up - maintaining is good, decreasing is better

Re: Biggest Loser

Keep going snafu!

- I'm not really wanting to lose weight, but i do want to loose the flabby stomach! Er, haven't been brave enough to measure it yet! Will be happy when the jeans fit comfortably again! Middle age spread, hrumph! Sitting herre at the computer on a gym ball (swiss ball) which is great, you wobble arround, and keep your back and stomach muscles much tighter!

Re: Biggest Loser

I haven't been posting here since I'm not making progress--although NOT gaining weight is positive.

My first milestone is to lose 10% by exercising a minimum of 300 minutes a week, eat 5 times a day (3 meals and two snacks), and no food after 8 pm.

As far as eating goes, I can go almost all day at work without eating...then watch out when I get home!

Re: Biggest Loser

I don't have any particular goals except to get back into my jeans, but I got measured today and have lost 4 inches in my waist in 6 weeks. (Was excited - had to share)
