Packing up childhood
It's time to put all the dollies away. DD is finished with them. It's taking me forever, like I'm packing DD away,
![]() But exactly how does one pack away doll things without them being ruined? |

Re: Packing up childhood
My DD had Barbies. Hundreds of them. We have all of the day-to-day ones she played with (missing arms and unmatched shoes) thrown in a big plastic container that is in a spare closet. All of her stuffed animals (except her lovey, which went with her to college) got thrown in a big plastic container that got put in storage. The plastic containers will eventually disappear. The collectible ones are still in their original boxes on the top shelf of her closet.

Where will they be stored, Lucy?

Re: Packing up childhood
They're being stored in a room in the basement so they won't have too much heat or cold, light, etc. Some of the things are wrapped in acid free tissue paper. I think they'll be okay.

Re: Packing up childhood
Do you have room to store them in small boxes within larger boxes?

Re: Packing up childhood
Yep. Some things are stored in original boxes. Some in shoe boxes.
