ADD--I made the marshmallow fondant!

It was pretty good! I just made a small batch to make little stars on top of cupcakes, for the end of school picnic. The cupcakes were a big hit and my friend who is also a cake geek asked about the fondant, so it was good.

Thanks!

That's great! I'm glad you liked it. I bet your cupcakes were cute. Were your hands a sticky mess when mixing it? Hopefully you'll find a lot of new decorating uses for it, too!

You can try different extracts/flavorings, too. Just use them in place of some of the water. I've tried almond extract and liked it.

I'm practicing fondant flowers tonight for BIL and Future SIL's wedding cake. I have one good flower and hundreds more to go...just for the practice cake. Oh my. I've called it a night and will try again tomorrow, now that I think I've got it.

Re: ADD--I made the marshmallow fondant!

Fondarific and Choco-Pan are two brands of fondant that come in other flavors. If you go to their websites, you can order a sample pack.

The Fondarific flavors seem really kid friendly and great for cupcakes or cookies.

We tried the Satin Ice chocolate fondant - it tastes a lot like tootsie rolls!
