Re: Corona Virus

I realized though today that people have forgotten how to drive apparently.

Re: Corona Virus

My area is starting to reopen today - the lines at hair salons were long. I also saw lines at a mall. (I was doing my one day a week running errands for my DM/myself)

I'm waiting a week or two for things to die down.

Re: Corona Virus

We're still closed. I'll be interested to know how the numbers go.

Re: Corona Virus

We continue to open bit by bit, maybe a little too fast? But judging from how slowly people are returning, maybe we can trust the public. I don't know.

Little Leagues and professional sports set to open up 5/31. Not so sure about that.

Re: Corona Virus

We have been open about 7 weeks, adding one stage at a time.

We did great for the first month. Then Memorial Day, graduations, weddings, peaceful protests, socializing... we're spiking. We have had more new cases in the last four days than we had cumulative through the day that we re-opened at the beginning of May. Our hospitals are still far under capacity, but I don't think they'll stay that way because people are being stupid. There's a large segment of the population who don't wear masks. Then there are people who started off wearing masks but got comfortable in their habits and stopped.

I had tentatively ventured into the grocery store (quick trips for a few items a couple of times) but nope, not anymore. I'm getting a little addicted to this Curbside stuff. Lots of people are completely back to their normal level of activity (bars, restaurants, vacations, Little League games).

We're all probably going to get it at some point or another. I'm tempted to just throw my hands up, stop being careful/paranoid with my health (although I'll still wear a mask for others) and hope for the best!

Re: Corona Virus

I'm 100% in a mask

As of Wednesday I didn't have it (had to be tested before a minor medical procedure)

So far I've not known anyone with it, but co-workers have had family members with it.

Re: Corona Virus

First Friday in June - 9 cases
Second Friday in June - 25 cases
Third Friday in June - 118 cases
Fourth Friday in June - 624 cases

First Friday in July - 1258 cases.

I read that our town is at a "4" spread rate (I can't remember what it was called exactly - that for every one person with COVID, they will spread it to 4 people).

Masks are mandatory now. I wear one whenever I am out in public, but I don't go out in public.

Re: Corona Virus

Damn, rates just exploded.

Masks are required here too. But not all stores/malls are enforcing it.

Re: Corona Virus

Masks are my new shoes.

I'm up to over ten masks. I mean, hey. If I have to wear a mask, I might as well be a fashionista about it, right?

Anyone else?
