appreciate 'em before they're gone

I just realized today that I will really, really miss the little things once DM is gone.

for example - who am I going to call with my questions - such as "Mom, I don't remember & I can't find in on the bottle, do I need to refrigerate corn syrup?"

or "What was your/your mom's recipe for _____."

Mmmmmh!! So true!

Moms are always moms no matter how old we are... and these little things are the things that makes this relationship so special!

I know I will miss her when she's gone. I am ashamed to admit that thought does not always give the patience I need to deal with her now.

Re: appreciate 'em before they're gone

Thank you, all..
He would have been 74 in december. The doctor said, he'd had another stroke. We couldn't reach him; he just laid there. No eye-contact. It was for the best, that he passed away.
I'm going to Vejle today to talk to the priest, who's going to perform the ceremony on thursday. Give him some background on dad, so he can make a nice speach about him. And decide on psalms.. (spelling, please??)

Well, that's what i'm doing these days.
