How much are you paying for gas?

Wow elaine, not bad. In my area it's about $3.45.

I paid $2.34/gallon yesterday. Our town's newspaper's website tracks prices in town (courtesy of "sighters") and it's down to $2.22 most places today.

Yesterday we paid $3.69 for diesel in NY. That's pretty good for diesel. At the same place gas was $3.19.

$2.05 ; it was $2.08 at walmart, but if you used a gift card, you get 3 extra cents off. I bought a preloaded giftcard...right now, 3 cents is 3 cents. It's dropped about 1 full dollar in the past 4 weeks; if it keeps this up, it'll be below $2 next weekend.

But, please don't tell my mom. She's paying about 75 cents more in WV, and she hung up on me the last time I told her about it.

Seriously? I didn't know that!! (I've got a bunch of Walmart gift cards! )

Yeah, Walmart gift cards, and you can reload them as much as you want. There's this price war of sorts right now between Shell, HEB, Walmart & Exxon. No joke, there are 20+ gas stations in a 5 block strip down Main Street in Taylor; and the price variance from one end of town to the other is sometimes as much as 40cents. Walmart and HEB are literally across the sidewalk from each next to the church we go to for Mass. And, since I'm doing the RCIA over there on Thursday's, we hit it twice a week between the two cars. (And my DH thought going to church wasn't worth the drive...)
