Re: My son, my youngest, my baby...
I just thought I would give you all an update to my story for those of you who are following.
It's been almost a week, since I last posted on this subject. My son has been to the doctor three times now and is due to go again on Friday. We still have been spending almost 24/7 together and we have yet to get on each other’s nerves, a minor miracle. He is doing well, no more withdrawals, finished with the detox. Now the real work has to begin. I absolutely love his doctor, goes to show you how wonderful Our Lord is, to find such a caring doctor to help my son through this time in his life. My only hope and prayer is for him to stay clean and to realize I can’t do it for him and I can’t kiss it and make it all better and I can’t control what he does. Man that is so hard, and I thought I had been though hard things, hard times, those were nothing. His doctor has him off of work for 30 days minimum. He wasn’t real excited about that because that means no money. But he got a little check last Friday which is more than enough for his cigarettes and Pepsi and an occasional trip to Taco Bell. I continue to read and learn about Boundaries and how to take care of me and what it really means to ONLY take care of me. Defies everything we know as a mom. But a healthy mom knows that from the start. I wonder how many healthy minded moms are really out there? Thank you for your prayers and continued thoughts… more to come… Virginia
