Re: Wii fit plus

(TBH, KayKay, I’ve taken poetic license on the ‘about three times a week’ statement…that’s on a good week, recently…And I’m only on it about 15-30 minutes MAX. ) I really don't like to exercise.

The failure part is in not losing the Christmas weight. My clothes still feel tight-ish. My fear is that if I don’t start making the scale read a lower number, it will creep back up to where I was about two years ago. That’s been the story of my life…and it’s time for a sequel!

Re: Wii fit plus

Shall we do our own version of the biggest loser?

It % of body weight lost, not the pounds

- I'm always amazed when people have lost more than I weigh, but when one guy lost more than DH weighs/weighed

Re: Wii fit plus

I can't participate - I'm cheating. (Finally swallowed my pride and sought professional help.)

I agree with snafu...you still have to do the 'work'.

Sounds intriguing. Tell us more.

(BTW - at my heaviest - 20+ years ago, I did follow a program and lost 140 lbs. Unfortunately, some of those ###'s found me again)

Re: Wii fit plus

My idea is that we can weigh/measure ourselves at home; figure out what we want to lose; then set our goals as the PERCENT of our total body weight (in my case I also want to lose inches from my waist )

ie say I weighed 200 lbs & my initial goal was to lose 10% of my weight (20 lbs); then at each "weigh" in I could announce I'd lost ____% of my orginal weight

My initial goals are (no time limit)

1) to lose 8-9% of my current weight
2) to lose 8-9% of the inches around my waist (the % may change - I may have misremembered how big my waist is )
3) to maintain any loses - even if I don't reach my goal(s)
