Corona Virus
Anyone have plans if their town/city/schools enacts a quarantine?

I've got a stockpile of books, way too much yarn (knitting time), plenty of fabric if I want to attempt to quilt.

I'm thinking about getting yeast and flour as I like to make bread.

Re: Corona Virus
Hopefully it won't get that far, but I was thinking today that a couple of days of self-quarantine didn't sound so bad....

Re: Corona Virus
We have a few families on self-quarantine around me.

Self-quarantine means I can still go outside in my yard and work on a few things that I've been ignoring. I'm not worried about stock piling anything, except accept ibuprofen.

Re: Corona Virus
My daughter's school is closed tomorrow for "deep cleaning." I went to the grocery store to stock up on a few things, just regular stuff that I needed, but I went on a Wednesday night instead of waiting for the weekend. It's here.

Re: Corona Virus
Principal at my school said that schools will close, it's just a question of when.

We spent the day prepping for a shutdown.

Re: Corona Virus
I have my yeast and flour and have been perusing some of the old threads in the recipe forum.

I also have some recipes for making homemade pasta.

Re: Corona Virus
Our schools have extended spring break by a week. I'm pretty sure they'll shut down after that week is over. They're using that time to make preparations for online learning.

As for me, I do tax returns remotely for a former boss. I have lots to keep me busy if I'm quarantined at home. :)

Re: Corona Virus
We are still self-isolating, but not on shelter-in-place.

Our sports arenas are being turned into testing sites:

All of a sudden, my family is willing to eat whatever I cook and to work in the garden. Good is coming! :)

Re: Corona Virus
Schools in my area have closed (extended break) and the public library has closed.

Shopping malls - some stores were operating on reduced hours, a few others were closed; now the mall has completely closed until the end of the month.

Restaurants - have gone to carryout only.

The rehab place DM is in isn't allowing non-employees in.
