Hi, All.

My daughter in law's horse died yesterday. He's been a part of her life for over 10 years. He's been in poor health for the last two years and she knew he probably wouldn't make it through the summer.

What suggestions do you have to recognize the death of her horse? (He's burried on their property.) Do you think it would be appropriate to send a sympathy card? I'm thinking it might be a tangible way to recognize her loss or is it too much?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

a card is a wonderful idea

Do you have any pictures (that she doesn't have) of her riding/showing him?

Definitely a card, and perhaps a contribution to some horse-related charity? I usually make a contribution to an animal rescue charity when someone's pet dies.

You're so sweet to realize how much that horse meant to her. (((Brownie)))
